
To comprehensively enhance the quality of postgraduate talent cultivation, Limerick International College held a review meeting for the 2025 Master's training program on the morning of June 9th in Conference Room 202. The meeting focused on optimizing the training system, conducting in-depth discussions on key issues such as curriculum structure design, teaching content arrangement, credit hour and credit allocation, and the integration of courses introduced from overseas partners. It garnered significant attention from both within and outside the university.
Attendees included Vice Dean He Yuxiao from the Graduate School. Leveraging her profound understanding of postgraduate admissions and training policies, she provided strong policy support for the review. Zhang Xinliang, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, and Zhang Yanliang, Postgraduate Program Director of the School of Physics and Electronic Information, contributed expertise from their respective fields. They conducted thorough reviews focusing on teaching content, curriculum systems, and discipline construction, effectively enhancing the scientific rigor and practicality of the training program. Zhang Changsen, Dean of the University of Limerick International College, and Vice Dean He Junyi, drawing on their extensive experience in specialized fields and international educational cooperation, proposed constructive suggestions on effectively integrating international educational concepts. Furthermore, the college's teaching management staff actively participated, combining practical teaching experience to form feasible optimization recommendations through the review process.
During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and lively discussions centered on the 2025 Master's training program. Regarding credit hours and credit allocation, experts thoroughly explored the scientific basis and rationality of course distribution, striving to ensure a systematic knowledge structure while providing students ample time for research and practice. Concerning curriculum system development, attendees meticulously analyzed the depth and breadth of specialized courses and the connection between foundational and specialized courses, aiming to build a teaching system aligned with disciplinary frontiers and talent cultivation objectives. On the integration of courses introduced from overseas partners, significant emphasis was placed on their positioning, requirements, and integration. After multiple rounds of in-depth discussion, consensus was reached to fully integrate these courses into the talent cultivation system, promoting the scientific refinement and internationalization of the program.
Through thorough deliberation, the meeting reached consensus on several key issues, clarifying the direction for optimizing the 2025 Master's training program and providing robust support. The successful convening of this review meeting is of great significance for the continuous improvement of the college's postgraduate education quality and the refinement of its talent cultivation system. It also injects new momentum into the college's pursuit of high-quality development in postgraduate education. In the next phase, the college will further revise and refine the training program based on the review feedback, diligently advance preparations for postgraduate teaching in the new semester, maintain a focus on talent cultivation, and strive to cultivate high-level versatile talents with international perspectives and professional competence.
