The closing ceremony of the "International Chinese + Tai Chi" Youth Summer Camp in Eurasian countries was successfully held

On June 17, the closing ceremony of the 2024 "International Chinese + Tai Chi" Eurasian Youth Summer Camp hosted by our school was held in the multi-function Hall of the School of Materials. Jin Shuanggen, Vice President of Academic Affairs of our School, attended the closing ceremony and the closing ceremony was presided over by Li Xinjuan, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Short video highlights of summer camp activities opened the curtain of the closing ceremony. Through short videos, all campers reviewed the wonderful activities they participated in during the past week. Then, the campers from Malaysia, Thailand and Spain shared their experience and feelings of participating in the summer camp, expressing their gratitude to our school for organizing this summer camp and their great interest in learning about Chinese culture. They said that the summer camp is not only a language and cultural learning journey for all campers, but also a spiritual and emotional exchange.

Kim Shuanggen delivered the closing speech. First of all, he thanked all the campers for their active cooperation and enthusiastic participation in the summer camp activities, and encouraged the campers to use this experience as a bridge to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and become ambassadors to promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the future. He stressed the importance of cultural exchanges, hoping that through learning Chinese and Tai Chi, campers can understand and cross cultural differences, build friendships and create a better tomorrow. On behalf of the school, Jin Shuanggen also welcomed all the campers to our school to continue their studies. Subsequently, Jin Shuanggen issued a certificate of completion to all the campers.

The closing ceremony, presented by Chinese and foreign teachers and students, began immediately. The Tai Chi display not only shows the charm of traditional Chinese culture, but also reflects the learning results of the campers during the summer camp; The enthusiasm of Spanish dance, the elegance of Malaysian dance and the unique rhythm of Thai dance all make the audience feel the unique charm of different cultures. The poetry recitation brought by the Spanish campers was beautifully and affectionately expressed, which further deepened the campers' understanding of the beauty of language.

From June 11th to 18th, 17 overseas teachers and students from overseas friendship cooperation schools and units of our school from Spain, Britain, Ireland, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries experienced Chinese culture courses including Tai Chi, Chinese, calligraphy and Yellow River mud Xun. He also participated in cultural research activities such as Chenjiagou, the birthplace of Taijiquan, Henan Museum, Chinese Writing Museum, Yuntai Mountain in the World Geological Park, and fully sensed the charm of traditional Chinese culture and the rapid development of modern science and technology.

As a concrete measure to implement the consensus of the China-Eu Leaders' Meeting in 2024 and the China-Asean Exchange Year, this summer camp will help the school build the brand of "International Chinese + Tai Chi" Sino-foreign cultural exchange, deepen overseas youth's understanding of China, promote friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth, and make positive contributions to the cultural interconnection and mutual learning between China and foreign countries.
