Limerick International College Holds Demonstration Meeting on Automation Professional Training Program

To further optimize the automation professional talent training program and enhance the level of professional development, Limerick International College held a demonstration meeting on the automation professional training program on the morning of March 12 inConferenceRoom 202 on the second floor of the college. Zhang Xinliang, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineeringand Automation, and Qiao Meiying, the program director,wereinvitedto attend. Limerick International College Dean Zhang Changsen, Vice Dean He Junyi, and teaching management personnel participated in the meeting, engaging in in-depth discussions on the improvement of the training program and the optimization of the curriculum system.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Dean He Junyi provided a detailed introduction to the international curriculum system introduced by the college, including course arrangements, semesters, degree requirements of the foreign partner, and differences in semester schedules between Chinese and foreign systems. This gave attendees a clearer understanding of the international curriculum framework, serving as an important reference for the demonstration process. During the subsequent discussion, participants rigorously reviewed the current training program in accordance with the national core curriculum catalog and relevant university regulations, considering the program’s objectives, market demands, and professional positioning. Discussions focused on the rationality of the curriculum system, the scientific coherence of course sequencing, and the goal-oriented approach to talent cultivation. Based on the content of both Chinese and foreign courses, a series of optimization suggestions were proposed, aiming to establish a more scientifically sound and comprehensive talent training system that meets both international educational standards and national requirements.

This meeting provided a crucial foundation for the revision of the automation professional training program and laid a solid groundwork for the college to deepen educational and teaching reforms while refining the curriculum system. The college will actively adopt the opinions and suggestions put forward during the demonstration meeting, continuously advancing professional development and striving to cultivate high-quality automation professionals who meet societal needs and possess international competitiveness.
