To comprehensively summarize and evaluate the teaching work of the academic year, the Chinese teaching management team of Limerick International Collegeat Henan Polytechnic University(HPULIC) and the teaching management team from its cooperative partner, the University of Limerick(UL), Ireland, held an Annual Teaching Summary and Evaluation Seminar on the afternoon of May 12th. The meeting was chaired by the Foreign Dean, Sean McGrath. Both sides conducted an in-depth review of the teaching operations, systematically analyzed achievements and shortcomings, and clarified future directions for teaching improvement.

At the seminar, Vice Dean for Teaching He Junyi, based on the actual teaching experience of the academic year, provided a comprehensive overview of the curriculum design, teaching implementation, and student feedback. He objectively analyzed key issues, such as balancing the difficulty of English-medium courses with student receptiveness and the need to enhance students' independent learning abilities. Representatives from the Irish side, drawing on Irish higher education philosophy and standards, offered professional suggestions for optimizing the curriculum system, integrating teaching resources, and innovating assessment methods. Both parties reached multiple consensuses on improving teaching quality and defined key priorities for future work.

Foreign Dean Sean McGrath, chairing the meeting, highly commended the cooperation and exchange between the two sides. He emphasized that the summary and evaluation laid a solid foundation for future teaching reforms. Chinese Dean Zhang Changsen, in his concluding remarks, stated that the college would use the outcomes of this seminar as a guide to further promote teaching innovation and management optimization, continuously enhancing the quality of cultivating internationalized talents.

Subsequently, from May 12th to 16th, the college successfully completed the examinations for the foreign-introduced courses. These exams covered multiple core professional courses, were conducted in strict accordance with the teaching standards of both institutions, and comprehensively assessed students' mastery and application of cutting-edge international professional knowledge. The college attached great importance to the examination organization and management, strictly enforcing invigilation procedures to ensure the fairness, impartiality, and orderly conduct of the exams.

The close integration of this Annual Teaching Summary and Evaluation Seminar with the foreign curriculum examinations established a virtuous cycle mechanism of“research informing teaching, examinations enhancing quality.”This not only provided a systematic review and comprehensive assessment of the past year's teaching work but also validated the effectiveness of ongoing teaching improvement measures through the examination results. Moving forward, LIC will continue to strengthen teaching collaboration with the University of Limerick, continuously optimize teaching management, and support students in becoming high-caliber professionals who can meet global development needs.
