On the morning of September 30, Limerick International College successfully held the 2025 tea party with the theme “Celebrating National Day, Welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival” in Conference Room 202. All faculty and staff, along with international teachers, gathered together to celebrate the dual festivals.
The event commenced with a speech by Professor Zhang Changsen, the Party Committee Secretary and Dean of the college. He extended a warm welcome to the international teachers who had newly joined for the semester and offered sincere festive greetings to all staff. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in the college's development and expressed his hope that everyone would build friendships and experience the charm of Chinese culture.
Following the speech, attendees watched the English short filmMid-Autumn Festival, which vividly introduced the origins and traditional customs of the festival. This helped the international teachers gain a deeper and more intuitive understanding of the cultural significance and the theme of reunion associated with the holiday.
During the tea party, participants enjoyed tea, conversed freely, and sampled mooncakes and fruits in a warm and lively atmosphere. The Chinese and international faculty shared teaching experiences and anecdotes from daily life in a relaxed and pleasant exchange, with constant laughter and cheerful conversation filling the room.
This event not only promoted patriotic sentiment and traditional culture but also established an effective communication platform. It further enhanced the cohesion and sense of belonging within the college team, injecting new vitality into promoting Sino-foreign cultural exchange and the harmonious development of the college.
