To assist students with academic difficulties in identifying problems, building confidence and breaking through academic bottlenecks, and drive the collective progress of all students, our college hosted this semester’s academic support exchange forum in Lecture Hall 207 on the afternoon of April 6, 2026. Zhu Lin, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, all counselors, as well as selected representatives of underachieving students and outstanding students attended the event.

At the forum, Deputy Secretary Zhu Lin clarified the core purpose of the gathering. He emphasized that the college always adheres to the student-centered philosophy and pays close attention to every student’s growth. He pointed out that academic struggles are only temporary hurdles, and the college stands firmly behind all students. The forum was designed as a face-to-face communication channel to listen to students’ academic confusion and demands, jointly analyze root causes and discuss solutions, help students relieve mental burdens, regain motivation and improve academic performance. Based on the current support work, he shared expectations and requirements from the perspectives of learning strategies and life planning. He encouraged students to face their weaknesses squarely and adjust their mindsets, attaching importance to studies while discovering their own strengths. He also advised them to draw up scientific and feasible short-term study plans, persevere and constantly surpass themselves.

To give full play to the exemplary role of peer mentors, Zhai Yifan from Class Automation 2404, recipient of the National Scholarship, and Wang Mengyuan from Class Computer Science 2401, Merit Student of the University, shared their learning experiences successively. Centering on popular topics such as efficient learning and time management, the two students shared practical tips based on their personal journeys, passed on sound learning concepts, and embodied the fine spirit of mutual assistance and common progress among students.

During the free exchange session, counselors offered targeted guidance on issues including academic inertia and excessive internet addiction based on daily observations and one-on-one talks. They patiently answered questions, sorted out clear learning directions, and encouraged students to take the initiative to seek advice and join support programs to build a positive learning cycle.

This forum has built a communication bridge between the college and students, demonstrated the college’s sincere care and accountability for students’ growth, and laid a solid foundation for follow-up targeted support initiatives. Going forward, the college will center on students’ actual needs, refine supporting measures, strengthen follow-up supervision, deliver thorough and detailed academic assistance, ensure that no student falls behind, and facilitate the all-round development of every student.
