At the recently concluded university sports meet and cheerleading contest, our college sent a competing team for the very first time. Student athletes demonstrated remarkable fighting spirit across multiple events. Zhang Junzhi claimed first place in the men’s 100-meter dash, while Lin Junyou took the championship in the men’s 400-meter run.

Other contestants also delivered outstanding performances: Li Jingzhe ranked third in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump; Liu Zhiwei, Guo Xincheng, Yin Shengyuan and Jiang Chenshao finished seventh in the men’s 4×100-meter relay; Lou Yuanquan and Huang He placed nineteenth in the 5000-meter race and twentieth in the 3000-meter race respectively. With speed and strength, they left brilliant marks as our college’s first-ever participants on the track.

Making its debut, the college cheerleading squad completed their routine smoothly with full enthusiasm and synchronized movements, winning the Excellence Award. Though lacking competition experience for their first appearance, the team members delivered vibrant performances that reflected strong unity and vitality, accomplishing self-challenges and showcasing their youthful charm.

The athletes’ relentless pursuit of excellence on the sports field and the cheerleaders’ energetic performance jointly embody the positive spirit of our students who dare to break limits and embrace opportunities to shine. The college will continue to support students’ participation in various cultural and sports activities to foster their all-round development. We look forward to seeing them build on this achievement and reach new heights in future competitions.
