To coordinate all undertakings of the new semester and ensure the high-quality operation of teaching and education at the college, Limerick International College held its regular work meeting for Spring Semester 2026 on March 10. The college leadership, foreign dean and all Chinese and foreign teachers gathered to deliberate on teaching development strategies and explore new avenues for international school-running.
Focusing on the university’s key work agenda for 2026 and the college’s realities, participants conducted thorough discussions on core matters: delivery of overseas imported courses, refinement of curriculum evaluation systems, postgraduate teaching, the English proficiency improvement initiative, advancement of the 2+2 joint training program, and application for degree-granting authorization. Comprehensive exchanges and detailed work arrangements were carried out accordingly. Combining their respective teaching practices, Chinese and foreign teachers actively shared experience and put forward suggestions. They communicated extensively on challenging points in daily instruction, optimization of assessment criteria and procedures for overseas courses, curriculum alignment of the 2+2 program, improvement of students’ English competence, and cultivation of international literacy, reaching unanimous agreements.
In his summary speech, Dean Zhang Changsen interpreted the guiding spirit of relevant university conferences and stressed that all faculty should uphold the original mission of nurturing talents and strengthen cross-team collaboration. Taking this work meeting as a starting point, all staff must strictly enforce teaching norms, innovate course delivery and evaluation models, enhance students’ comprehensive qualities, lift the standards of international education, and strive to cultivate interdisciplinary talents equipped with global vision and solid professional expertise.
All participating teachers commented that the meeting has clarified the work targets and tasks for the new semester, consolidated the joint efforts of Chinese and foreign faculty, and laid a solid groundwork for the steady advancement of all teaching work in Spring Semester 2026 as well as quality and efficiency upgrading of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
