Warm breezes blow gently in the lovely month of March. To celebrate the 115th International Women’s Day, enrich the cultural and sports life of faculty and staff, and strengthen team cohesion, the Labor Union of Limerick International College held a spring walking activity for all Chinese and foreign faculty and staff on the afternoon of March 10.
At 4 p.m., all Chinese and foreign staff assembled at the college entrance, brimming with vitality and ready for the walk. The event officially started upon the signal. Participants followed the designated route passing the campus Cultural Square and marched toward Qinquan Lake. Bathed in pleasant early-spring scenery, they walked in small clusters. Some strode quickly while others chatted merrily, savoring the pleasure of physical activity as they admired the roadside views. Chinese and foreign faculty chatted with one another and offered mutual encouragement amid constant laughter, forming a delightful scene on campus.
After the pleasant hike, all participants reached the shore of Qinquan Lake without a hitch. They stopped to rest and took group photos to preserve these wonderful memories. The activity fully reflects the college’s care and respect for female staff, conveying sincere holiday greetings and warm wishes to them.
This spring walking event not only helped faculty and staff relax and build up their fitness amid heavy workloads, but also deepened communication and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign colleagues, enhancing the team’s centripetal force and sense of belonging. All participants said they would engage in their work with better physical condition, fuller enthusiasm and more vigorous spirit, making contributions to the high-quality development of the college.
