To systematically advance the college’s summer social practice program themed "Three Rural Issues" and improve college students’ practical capabilities and comprehensive literacy, the Student Union, in conjunction with the Youth Volunteers Association of the college, hosted an information session for the 2026 summer social practice at the Comprehensive Experiment Building on the afternoon of June 23. Class monitors, League branch secretaries and publicity committee members from all Grade 2024 and 2025 classes attended the session for training.
At the opening of the session, Du Haolin from the Practice Department of the Student Union and Li Jiarun from the college Youth Volunteers Association elaborated on the guiding principles and core themes of this year’s "Three Rural Issues" practice in light of the overall work plan for practical activities. They then delivered a detailed presentation covering multiple dimensions: the fundamental connotation of the "Three Rural Issues" program, academic credits and competition bonus points available to participants, the full implementation workflow of the practice, as well as rules for forming practice teams and recruiting team members.
In addition, they laid out clear specifications for the standard completion of social practice reports, channels to obtain certification documents from practice institutions, and unified submission requirements for practice deliverables including photos, videos and written materials, setting clear benchmarks for class leaders to disseminate relevant arrangements to their classmates after the session.
Towards the end of the session, Li Jiarun engaged in a Q&A session addressing topics such as the application procedures for practice projects, safety precautions for off-campus fieldwork, submission of publicity materials, and the accreditation of practice credits. He called on all class cadres to actively encourage their classmates to take part in grassroots social service, helping class committee members clarify their work plans and greatly boosting students’ enthusiasm for social practice.
This information session has effectively galvanized student leaders’ initiative to engage with grassroots communities and serve society. It builds a practical platform for young students to integrate knowledge with real-world action, further refining the college’s arrangements for summer social practice. The event lays a solid foundation for the regular, standardized and orderly delivery of all follow-up practical activities.
