To thoroughly implement the philosophy of ecological civilization development, foster young students’ awareness of environmental protection, and build a green and harmonious campus atmosphere, Limerick International College successfully launched the eco-themed practical activityGuard the Blue, Honor Naturein front of the Campus Canteen on the afternoon of June 28.
Two activity zones were arranged at the venue: a game experience area and a canvas creation area. Breaking from the traditional lecture format, the event adopted an innovative interactive model, featuring distinctive games including waste-sorting dart competitions, fun physical challenges, and jigsaw puzzles of the Earth. While enjoying the entertaining games, students systematically learned waste classification knowledge and gained an immersive understanding of the significance of ecological conservation. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, they consolidated environmental know-how and established a commitment to protecting green ecosystems.
The creative long scroll painting session drew crowds of teachers and students, who collaborated to create artwork. Giving full play to their imagination and creativity, participants used oil pastels as painting tools and fallen leaves as raw materials to carefully depict scenes of lush mountains, clear waters and the blue planet on the public welfare scroll. They also wrote environmental slogans advocating low-carbon living and nature preservation. Through vivid hues and handwritten words, they expressed their original aspiration for environmental protection and demonstrated the sense of responsibility borne by young people. Exquisite prizes were prepared for participants, greatly boosting engagement and resulting in lively yet well-organized interactions throughout the event.
Combining entertainment with educational value, the activity effectively popularized ecological civilization knowledge and guided teachers and students to voluntarily embrace resource conservation, low-carbon lifestyles and environmental care as daily habits. Moving forward, Limerick International College will continue to prioritize ecological civilization education and regularly organize diverse green volunteer activities. The college will guide young students to put environmental concepts into practice, pool youthful volunteer strength, safeguard lucid waters and lush mountains with concrete actions, and advance high-quality development of ecological civilization construction on campus.
