On October 27th at 3:00 PM, the 2025 Master's Supervisor Dual Selection Fair of Limerick International College was successfully held in the college's Conference Room 202. The event was attended by College Dean Zhang Changsen, all master's student supervisors, and the entire cohort of 2025 master's students, marking the official launch of the college's first graduate supervisor mutual selection process.

At the meeting, Dean Zhang first delivered a speech. He introduced that to strengthen the construction of the graduate supervisor team, the college strictly adhered to university requirements. Through voluntary individual applications and a selection review by the Academic Degree Committee, 12 master's student supervisors were ultimately appointed. Dean Zhang emphasized that supervisors are the primary responsible persons for graduate student cultivation. The establishment of this newly appointed supervisor team solidifies the faculty foundation for high-quality graduate education at the college, and the dual-selection mechanism is a key link in achieving precise cultivation.

During the student-supervisor exchange session, the 12 newly appointed master's supervisors took turns providing detailed introductions about their respective research fields, ongoing research projects, team characteristics, and educational philosophies, offering clear guidance for students in choosing their research directions. Subsequently, the 2025 master's students individually expressed their personal aspirations, fully elaborating on their undergraduate backgrounds, academic strengths, research interests, and future plans. The on-site interaction featured a lively atmosphere for exchange. Through in-depth communication, both supervisors and students fully negotiated based on the alignment of research interests and cultivation needs, ultimately achieving effective matching.

Following the initial interaction and research direction alignment between students and supervisors, Vice Dean He Junyi highlighted the distinctive features of the Sino-foreign cooperative education dual-degree graduate program. Leveraging the advantages of the joint cultivation partnership with the University of Limerick in Ireland, he emphasized the importance of the supervisors' international cooperation experience and capacity for joint international cultivation in fostering graduate student growth. Vice Dean He Junyi pointed out that, relying on the all-English teaching system and synchronized Sino-foreign teaching standards, the international perspective of the supervisors will help students access cutting-edge international academic resources, creating favorable conditions for dual-degree studies and enhancing international competitiveness.

Finally, both the attending supervisors and students unanimously expressed their commitment to fully utilizing the advantages of the college's Sino-foreign cooperative education platform. Supervisors pledged to diligently fulfill their advisory responsibilities, while students committed to proactively planning their academic paths, working together to ensure the high-quality completion of their studies. This selection fair not only built an efficient bridge for student-supervisor matching but also demonstrated the college's internationalized and refined philosophy for graduate cultivation, laying a solid foundation for a successful start to the inaugural master's student cultivation efforts.
