To consolidate the grassroots foundation of class management, reinforce the campus security line of defense, further improve the performance capabilities of student leaders, and guide young student cadres to temper their skills and grow through serving the collective, Limrick International College held a panel discussion of the Class Cadres Forum themed "Safeguard Growth with Safety, Forge Youth through Endeavor" in Meeting Room 207 of the Limrick College Building on the afternoon of May 19. Wang Xiaochen and Li Yaojin, college counselors, outstanding student cadre representatives at the university level, and principal student leaders of all classes attended the experience-sharing seminar.
At the forum, the two outstanding student representatives shared their experience based on personal practice. Ma Hanyu, a student majoring in Surveying and Mapping, systematically presented practical experience in class development. By launching a senior-junior mentorship pairing program, setting up differentiated study groups, and building a class resource-sharing platform, he encouraged classmates to actively participate in scientific and innovation competitions as well as social practices, fostering a fine class atmosphere featuring diligent learning, healthy competition and all-round development. Li Yuhao, majoring in Electrical Engineering, delivered a speech themed "Take Setbacks as Steps, Integrate Knowledge and Practice for Progress". He recalled his growth experience amid academic setbacks, introduced his original memo-based learning method, and explained how to efficiently balance academic study, scientific innovation and student work. With sincere insights, he inspired all student cadres present to face setbacks head-on and turn them into opportunities for self-improvement.
During the subsequent Q&A session, participating cadres exchanged views actively on topics including class management and balancing academics with student work, and the two representatives offered practical and actionable work suggestions. After the exchange session, Counselor Li Yaojin delivered a concluding speech. She first expressed gratitude to the two student representatives for their thorough sharing, reaffirmed the dedication and sense of responsibility of all student cadres in daily work, and put forward expectations for all class leaders. She hoped that everyone would take this exchange as an opportunity to learn from excellent experience and continuously improve their comprehensive quality and work competence, acting not only as guardians of class safety but also as companions supporting their fellow students on the path of growth.
This panel discussion successfully unified ideological consensus. Going forward, the college will continue to organize such exchange activities on a regular basis, refine the training mechanism for student leaders, and strive to cultivate a backbone student team with firm political stance, outstanding competence and fine work conduct, laying a solid foundation for the orderly advancement of all student affairs of the college.
